The catabolite control protein A (CcpA) globally regulates transcription in response to carbohydrate availability in many gram-positive bacteria, but its role in Lactobacillus plantarum remains enigmatic. Here transcriptomic data was presented during the logarithmic growth of the wild-type and mutant strains of L. plantarum ST-III using fructooligosaccharide or glucose as the sole carbon source.
